Memberships
Memberships are the heart of Osa Nova.
They offer an ongoing relationship with the forest, the mangrove, and the quiet spaces that define this Tropical Urban Park. Membership is how people stay connected to the land — not through transactions, but through belonging.
Membership exists to support the daily life of the park: the care of trails and habitats, the protection of the mangrove, the maintenance of quiet spaces, and the long‑term ecological health of this place. It is a way for people to participate in the stewardship of Osa Nova, even when they are not staying overnight.
A Stewardship‑Based Structure
Our membership structure is simple and rooted in care:
• Yearly Memberships — for individuals, couples, families, and organizations who want uninterrupted, year‑round access to the park and a deeper relationship with this place.
Annual Members are the only members who may book stays of fewer than 15 nights.
• Seasonal Memberships — for those who feel connected to a particular time of year and wish to support the park during that season.
• Gift Memberships — for sharing the park with someone who would value belonging more than a visit.
Membership supports the land. It helps sustain the forest and mangrove, strengthens ecological protection, and provides continuity for the community that gathers around this place.
What Members Receive
• Access to the Tropical Urban Park, Playa Juanito Mora Mangrove Reserve, and Chimpol Jungle Reserve for the duration of the membership
• Annual Members: able to book stays under 15 nights
• All other members follow the 15‑night minimum stay
• Priority booking for lodging
• Connection to stewardship activities, ecological updates, and community participation
What Membership Does Not Include
• No lodging discounts
• No transactional perks
• No financial incentives
Membership is a relationship, not a reward system.
Each membership strengthens the bond between people and place. It keeps the park accessible, protected, and alive for the community.
Becoming a member means you don’t just visit Osa Nova — you help sustain it.

🌺 Osa Nova Social Club
A quiet, communal gathering space within the Tropical Urban Park
The Social Club is the human heart of Osa Nova — a calm, family‑friendly space where Members gather for conversation, shared meals, and unhurried time. It is not a bar, a lounge, or an entertainment venue. It is a simple, analog, community‑rooted space shaped by the same slow rhythm as the forest and mangrove around it. The Social Club reflects the values of the Tropical Urban Park: presence, connection, and a deep respect for the land.
🌱 A Family‑Friendly, Quiet‑by‑Nature Space
The Social Club welcomes all ages while maintaining the gentle calm that defines Osa Nova. It is a place for:
• Chess, backgammon, dominoes, cards, and other analog games
• Horseshoes, darts, ping‑pong, and simple outdoor play
• Reading, journaling, sketching, and nature notebooks
• Birding logs, photography meetups, and quiet creative time
• Shared meals around the communal grill and kitchen
• Story circles, board‑game evenings, and member‑led workshops
These activities are intentionally analog — designed to slow people down, bring people together, and deepen the relationship between people and place.
🌴 Membership Access to the Social Club
Yearly Osa Nova Members receive Social Club Membership as a gifted privilege.
It is part of the deeper relationship they hold with this land.
Seasonal Members (30, 90, and 180 days) may add Social Club Membership to their ecological membership if they wish to participate in this shared space.
Social Club Membership includes:
• Access to the private Social Club
• Use of the communal grill and shared kitchen
• The ability to bring beverages and take them home at the end of the day
• Optional BYOB lockers for Members who prefer to store beverages on site
• Member‑only gatherings and community evenings
• A family‑friendly, quiet space for connection
Social Club Membership is optional, simple, and rooted in belonging — not in transactions.
🍃 Private Member Gatherings
Members may reserve the Social Club for small, private gatherings such as family meals, celebrations, workshops, or quiet community circles. These gatherings are intimate, analog, and aligned with the calm nature of Osa Nova.
A modest rental fee supports the long‑term stewardship of the Tropical Urban Park.
🌿 The 80/20 Rhythm
Osa Nova follows an 80/20 rhythm:
• 80% of the year is dedicated entirely to Member access.
• Up to 20% of the year is reserved for private gatherings.
These dates are:
• announced well in advance
• chosen with care
• aligned with the quiet, nature‑based character of Osa Nova
Members always receive early notice, and alternative spaces remain open whenever possible. This rhythm supports the long‑term stewardship of the land while preserving the integrity of the Membership experience.
🌳 A Place to Belong
Membership at Osa Nova is not about access — it is about relationship.
The Social Club is not an amenity — it is a gathering place.
The Tropical Urban Park is not a resort — it is a living ecosystem.
Osa Nova is a place where families play analog games, where neighbors share meals, where stories are told, and where the rhythm of the forest shapes the rhythm of the day.
It is a place to belong.
